Employment Opportunities for Students

The North Hall Library employs between 40 and 60 student assistants during the academic year. Students must have a work-study award as part of their financial aid packet in order to work in the library. There are numerous employment opportunities available in all areas of the library, both public and non-public, and during all hours that the library is open.

Student assistants are employed in most of the following library departments/positions: Circulation, Stacks Maintenance, Computer and IT support, Interlibrary Loan, Technical Services, Special Collections, and Administration.

Most students work an average of 6 hours per week and some areas require some nights and/or weekends.
