There is a lot of good information available online, but there is also lots of less than good information out there too. Sometimes it is just bad information, but other times it is a scam or hoax, falsified or fictitious research, unreliable or biased information, or just plain bogus info. To avoid using these for your personal or academic research, you need to spend a moment critically evaluating the source.
